Discovering Bubble Wrap

There is nothing like that first time you accidentally step on bubble wrap and realize that it is one of the coolest things in the world!

Brushing Momma's Hair

Michael grabbed my brush off the bathroom counter, brought it over to me at the computer desk, and started brushing my hair. It was very cute, but we are going to encourage him to choose something else for his vocation. :-)

A Very Manly Gash

Michael decided to show off for Grandma and PawPaw today and demonstrate his amazing standing skills in his rocking chair. Unfortunately, it tipped backwards and Michael's face met the baluster. He took it like a man (after a few minutes of sobbing in mommy's arms) and then was very proud of his cool band-aid. I'm sure this will be a nice addition to his scar collection.

I Can't Believe I was SO Clumsy!

Toy of the Week- Toothbrush

Michael LOVES his toothbrush. He goes into the bathroom and asks for it all the time. Sometimes he carries it around with him while he plays (very sanitary, I know!) Unfortunately, he loved that toothbrush so much that is is now MIA, so if any of you find a stray toothbrush lying around, give us a call.

Michael, How Do You Feel About Grandma & Grandpa Coming To Visit?

YEAH! We had a visit this weekend from my (Karen's) parents, and Michael had a great time! Sorry I didn't snap a picture of them for all to see!

A Cozy Corner

This is how I found Michael sleeping when I peeked in about 11:30pm. He had his little deep-sleep baby snoring going on, and was completely out to the world. This time I DID move him, as I thought his legs might fall asleep and make his back hurt.

Sweet, Precious Little Boy

I peeped in on Michael during his nap today, and he had the most preciously sweet look on his face- mouth hanging open and completely sacked out! I wanted to pick him up and squeeze him tight (but I didn't because then he wouldn't have looked this peaceful!)

Where's Your Hat, Buddy?

Michael is on a little hat kick. He will walk around the house hitting his head and saying "hat" until I pull one out and let him wear it. Then, occasionally, I will say, "Where's your hat, buddy?", and Michael will instantly stop everything he is doing, grab his head, and say, "HAT!"

Toy of the Week- Mommy's Alarm Clock

Okay, so I think that I got more enjoyment out of setting the clock for one minute ahead and watching Michael jump when the alarm went off, but I think he really enjoyed himself, too!

And It's Useful as a Stepping Stool, Too!

Fun with Bath Crayons

Michael played with his new bath crayons, which are really soap. He enjoyed them very much once he got the hang of it. If you looks closely in the background, Michael even wrote his name on the wall. What an intelligent child! ;-)

And Then He Tried to EAT IT!

Hmmmm- maybe not as intelligent as we originally thought...!

Our Sunday Best

Isn't he just so handsome in his church clothes?

One Little Monkey Jumping on the Bed

I was washing sheets today, and had Michael's bed mattress propped up against the crib. I heard a loud "BOOM," and Michael had knocked it over and was jumping on the mattress (I say "jumping," though it was more like a series of knee-bends. I don't think his feet ever left the mattress).

Mr Independent

Michael has decided that he WILL conquer feeding utensils, and ate his spinach all by himself. Notice I put him in a green shirt to mask any spinach stains. There is a method to my madness, I assure you!

Pray for Dan

Please pass the word around to pray for Dan Knudsen. The Knudsens are family friends of Jon's family from Chicago. Dan is a student at Cedarville University, and was on a missions trip last week in Mexico when he sustained a spinal cord injury while doing a back flip. He is currently paralyzed from the ears down, and on a ventilator and a feeding tube, as he had a C1-C2 fracture with significant inflammation to his spinal cord. These next few weeks will be critical in determining long-term effects, so they have asked as many people as possible to be praying for Dan. You can check in on his progress on the blog that the family set up. Let's just keep him before the throne of grace and see what an amazing God we serve.
PS 27: 13&14- "I would have despaired unless I had believed that I would see the goodness of the LORD in the land of the living. Wait for the LORD; Be strong and let your heart take courage; Yes, wait for the LORD."

Mischief Maker

Michael realized that he can climb from the couch to the arm of the couch to the desktop. We had a big "talk" about how it is a "no-no" to climb on top of furniture, but I had to, of course, take a picture to so other little boys and girls can be warned as well. Let this be a lesson to you all...

Showing off the Summer Sandals

Michael asked all morning to wear his shoes, so I put his new summer sandals on. It was in the mid 80s this week, but of course, it now is in the 30s again. Spring, where are you? I think that groundhog is a big liar!

A Ride in the Big Red Wagon

Landon let Michael borrow his radio flyer wagon when we went out visiting with the youth group. Michael had a great time riding around in in. Thanks to Mr Newman for snapping a quick pic, as I forgot to bring the camera along.
