Wiggly Worms at the Library

The library's Fabulous Friday STEM activity was a lesson from the R-Board to learn about the benefit of worms in composting and waste management.

The kids were pretty excited to build their own worm habitats.
Silly kids

Compost + old lettuce + water + the hugest, chunkiest worms I have ever seen!

Michael built his worm habitat with a friend who was on his basketball team in the winter.
What a fun project!

I'm in charge of coming up with a 6 week STEM program for our library next summer. I'll have to keep these ideas in mind!
