Sunday, we headed down to San Diego, and we went to the San Diego Zoo.
October was "Kids Get in Free" month, so we enjoyed that freebie. They did have a fee for the sky tram and the bus tour, but we were thankful for the price break, as the zoo is NOT cheap.

Michael wrestling the saber-tooth.
Kate and I rode the sky tram together, while Jon and the boys went on another.
They had a great little playground for when the kids needed a break from all the walking. David organized this little spinny toy, and he got a little miffed when other kids came and made them spin. He's a little OCD.
That night, Matt (my brother in law) wanted to visit a burger joint called Hodad's, which was featured on Diners, Drive-Ins, and Dives on the Food Network. I think it was the best of the MANY burgers we ate on our trip. Plus they had good fries, which counts a lot in my book.
Back to the hotel for another good night's sleep.
